Bukit Merah

Introduction

Arguably the oldest residential estate in Singapore, Bukit Merah also goes by its literal name ‘Red Hill’ in Malay. Its proximity near the city area makes it as one of the most sought after residential area in Singapore. From an estate mostly containing one and two-room flats, Bukit Merah has been developed to allocate more types of units such as five-room HDB flats and private condominiums. It is divided into numerous subzones including Bukit Ho Swee, Maritime Square, Redhill, Singapore General Hospital, Henderson Hill, Alexandra Hill, Tiong Bahru, Kampong Tiong Bahru, Depot Road, Everton Park, Telok Blangah and Tanjong Pagar.
